What Should My Classified Ad Say?

Last Updated: Mar 04, 2013 06:57PM EST
In the welcome email you received when you created your Prospect Master account, is a link to download a copy of some sample ads we’ve tested.
Now, we generally don't tell anyone exactly what to say because online classified sites cannot be flooded with the same ad, and everyone has to put their own flavor into it. So please rewrite those sample ads in your own words before posting.

We will advise you to use a simple ad heading and a brief, keyword-loaded ad body that directs prospects to your website to learn more.

The basic point you want to get across is that you're a real estate solutions provider, that you need help finding houses in the area, and that this is a great opportunity for them to help their community and make some serious cash.

The #1 thing you need to include is this at the bottom:

That's a hyperlink to your Teamwork Program website.

Here's a quote we received from a beginning Prospect Master user:

"My first run of ads were in backpage, craigslist and in 2 areas. It went OK. A few sign ups...then I said to myself 'what am I doing'. I was writing a 'robotic looking' ad! I decided to jazz it up a bit. On the 21st I ran again, this time only in CL but once again in 2 areas. On the 21st & 22nd I got 13 NEW SIGN UPS!!! My most recent one has brought me 4 leads already with one being extremely promising”.
I guess the moral of the story is, don’t be afraid when running an ad...have fun with it. This is your chance to use your finest marketing skills! Ask yourself, what would make you respond to an ad. Try different ad language & monitor the results. However, like the investor above, don't be afraid to be bold with it.

If you've never posted an online classified ad before, there's a video tutorial in the classroom section of your Prospect Master account that will help you get started.
